The Heart of Her Vision Came From Within by DWL Lifestyle Strategist AshleyMarcel
So far this month, we have covered how to begin creating your vision, pacing yourself while going for that vision, and understanding what you are fighting for. This week we will tackle something a little different. I have titled this blog “The heart of her vision came from within” because it is important to understand that what you choose to devote your time, energy and finance to must be something that not only sounds good, but is something that comes from your core. You will not stop pushing for something you truly believe in. Go ahead and jump in to this week’s Dear Wednesday and I encourage you to reread all of the January blogs, as we have something special planned for you all!

Dear Wednesday,

This morning I asked myself: Who is Ashley Marcel? What is her mission and how is she going to use that mission to help people?
Let’s be candid for a moment.
If you have been reading my blogs for January (I hope you have) then you have seen words of wisdom and encouragement along with practical steps about gaining vision and moving towards your goals in life.
What you may not know is that 18 months ago I wanted to give up. The specifics are not important here, but what is crucial is that I was in a place of complete and total isolation. People were around me, but inside I was more alone than I’d ever been in my 31 years on this earth, 29 at the time lol.
Every plan I made fell through.
Each time I tried to get back up to keep moving (like we tell you all to do often) I would get punched in the gut by something else.
Just last year, yes 2019, I was so tired (physically, mentally and spiritually) that I all I could really do was sleep and eat.
I know this is not what you expected this week but it is real truth and I believe you all, my beautiful #DearWednesday ladies (and courageous men readers too), deserve to hear truth.
Now, I am a Jesus loving, let’s get everyone healed and whole, let me hug and love on everyone type of Christian. However, my love for Jesus and people did not take away the pain I was in.

I want you all to understand that your faith, your achievements, your goals or a new year will not automatically delete every pain you are facing, or somehow make you in to a completely different human being. What I do believe (and know for a fact) is that every mistake, hurt, mishap, foolish behavior, personality quirk is useful in your mission.
Looking back over the past 18 months I have learned a lot about myself. I now understand what is means to really love people without conditions. I have a deeper ability to show compassion and sympathy to others, even if I do not agree with their behaviors or beliefs. I have learned who and how to trust with my innermost thoughts. I know what it is like to be loved by a father who will never leave you. I know how to forgive myself when I make a mistake or have a lapse in character even if others do not.
I learned how to fully love Ashley.

In loving Ashley, I am now able to take all of the things that I desire inside - including my life mission and vision - to actively empower women by writing these blog posts and by creating helpful material with my good friend Dr. Joy Well.
So, for this week’s dear Wednesday I want you to really think about who you are, what you want, and how your experiences are developing or have developed into your mission and vision for 2020.
I know it is easy to have a great idea and make it your vision. But let me tell you, what you fight for needs to be something you believe in so deeply that it is only natural for you to push towards it.
Do not ever allow a life situation to take you out. I don’t care how guilty you feel about what you did, how hurt you were or what was done to you. If you are reading this post then you are living.
It is possible to live in such a way that you experience more joy than pain. It starts with the way you chose to think. It starts with you, and what you choose to do with your life experiences.
Coming up next Dear Wednesday, an old-time friend and classmate of mine will be sharing her powerful story. I want you all to go back over the January Vision-themed blogs, do the exercises, and prepare yourself for next week. We will also be announcing something special for you all.
If you choose to commit this year, Dr. Joy and I will be with you the entire way. We will not stop supporting Women (and supporters of women) because this is what we believe in. But we cannot make you take the leap; only you can.
I hope you have been encouraged in some way by this week’s Dear Wednesday and I truly look forward to seeing you all this year as we continue to serve Women across the Globe.

Love,
Ashley Marcel
